Jeffrey P. Thompson, P.E.
Jeff's passion for engineering stemmed from his childhood affinity with mathematics and was further sparked by his first drafting lessons in junior high shop class. His first job in the engineering sector was during high school, where he was an intern at a civil engineering firm specializing in wastewater treatment.
He graduated Summa Cum Laude and first in his class from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts with a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Engineering. He worked professionally throughout his education, including positions at a municipal department of public works and four environmental consulting companies.
Born and raised in New England, he fled from the harsh northeast winters a few weeks after his college graduation to relocate in Miami, Florida for a job opportunity. He worked for that same environmental and civil engineering firm for 12 years (ES Consultants, Inc. who later merged with SCS Engineers) before starting his own firm in 2015. His experience is more varied than most in the engineering field, with expertise in a wide range of often overlapping areas of environmental and civil engineering.

The triskele (aka triskelion) is an ancient symbol that is portrayed in a variety of ways. A variant of this symbol was chosen as our logo for its historic cultural representations associated with the basic ancient elements of earth, water, and air, and movement, progress, continuity and interdependence.
